Actopia launches SME VoIP solution

IT and telephony solutions provider Actopia Communications has announced it is launching a new VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service, aimed at improving flexibility and communications for UK businesses.

The secure internet-based service will allow businesses to make as many concurrent calls as they have seats.  They will be able enjoy free VoIP to VoIP calls and the system will enable employees to take away their desktop handset and use it anywhere in the world, or routed through their smartphone via an app.

The Actopia TritonVoIP service utilises world-class, dedicated servers in Germany, ensuring safe and secure telephony.

Customers will receive a dedicated connection to the TritonVoIP service charged at a ‘by the desk’ cost, meaning that costs can be better monitored and managed, with set up being instantaneous.  Included within the cost is a CISCO SPA500 series IP phone for each desk, and can be fully customized, for example with spiderphones for conference rooms.

Darran Hamer, technical director from Aylesbury-based Actopia Communications, which has been at the forefront of providing IT solutions for 20 years, said: “This service is developed with SME’s in mind, so that they can have the same state-of-the-art telephone services normally associated with large corporations, which are tailored to meet their exact needs.

“Ease of communication and scalability is key to business and cloud-based technology has evolved so that companies can take advantage of a solution that means they no longer have to rely on inflexible, expensive-to-maintain, office-based telephone systems.”

The fully-managed Actopia TritonVoIP solution is plug and play, resulting in easy conversion from old systems to the new, while telephone numbers stay the same.

In addition, should there be any issues, a dedicated account manager will be on hand via a direct line to provide assistance, without the need to contact a call centre.

“Any business that has a broadband connection can easily switch to a more cost-effective VoIP telephone system,” continues Darran.

“The benefits to SME’s are immeasurable, as there is no upfront capital and a firm can simply unplug its phones retaining the same number and plug them in at any other premises.
